Please read the Committee Descriptions and sign up for which Committees you would like to serve on, and let us know if you would be interested in being a Chair or Co-Chair.  Submissions for Committees will be accepted until Monday October 15, 2026. Below is the Policy on Committee Rush.

We encourage all New Agents and Members to sign up for Committees and get involved, we always need an extra hand. New Agents and Members are eligible to sign up for the following Committees: Community Outreach/Relations, Education/Fair Housing, Membership/Affiliate, Programs & Social, and YPN. How Committee Rush Works

a) Committee Rush is Scheduled by the President-Elect

b) Association members attend Committee Rush and Sign Up (If unable to attend members must email Association Office by start of Business the following Monday after Committee Rush)

c) President-Elect meets with the CEO/AE and reviews the Committee Rush sign-ups, and verifies the Members are eligible to be on that committee. (Just because you sign up for a committee does not mean that you make that committee.)

d) Then the Committees are taken to the Board of Directors for approval.

e) Once Committees are approved, Members that made a committee are emailed with the committees they have made.

f) Committee Members may be added to a committee throughout the year with the approval of the Committee Chair, President, and subsequent to final approval by the Board of Directors. (added 5/25)

The Budget and Finance Committee is responsible for preparing the Association’s annual budget in partnership with the Treasurer and the CEO/AE. This committee monitors the overall financial health of the organization by reviewing revenue, expenses, reserves, and investment practices. It ensures that dues and fees are adequate to sustain operations while remaining fair to members. Recommendations for adjustments to financial policies or reserves are also made through this committee, making it a critical part of the Association’s long-term stability.

The Community Relations Committee is responsible for connecting the Association with the public through charitable activities, outreach events, and service projects. Its purpose is to enhance the reputation of REALTORS® as community leaders who give back beyond the real estate transaction. Members plan and participate in events that benefit local causes, demonstrating the Association’s commitment to the community’s well-being.

The Education/Fair Housing Committee is dedicated to advancing professionalism among members by organizing continuing education courses, training sessions and professional development programs. The committee identifies relevant topics, secures instructors, and promotes opportunities for REALTORS® to grow in knowledge and skill. By raising the level of education, this committee helps members better serve their clients and maintain compliance with licensing requirements.

The Membership/Affiliate Committee focuses on growing and engaging the Association’s membership and affiliates. This committee welcomes new members, helps them understand the benefits of joining, and creates initiatives to keep them actively involved. While also reaching out to Affiliates on a monthly/quarterly basis to make sure we are supporting them. It also works on retention strategies, ensuring that members feel valued and connected to the Association. Through its outreach, the Membership/Affiliate Committee strengthens the REALTOR® community and builds long-term engagement.

The Policy & Bylaws Committee ensures that the Association’s governing documents remain up to date and in compliance with both the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and Nevada state requirements. Members of this committee carefully review the policies and bylaws, recommend amendments when necessary, and draft clear proposals to be voted on by the Board of Directors or the general membership. This work ensures that the Association operates within a legally sound framework and maintains credibility with its members and governing bodies.

The Political Affairs Committee, often working closely with the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), monitors legislation at the local, state, and national levels that may affect the real estate industry. The committee educations members about these issues, organizes fundraising efforts for RPAC, and encourages participation in political advocacy, such as responding to “Calls for Action.” By engaging in this work, the committee ensures that REALTORS® have a strong voice in shaping laws and policies that impact property rights and the real estate business.

The Programs & Social Committee organizes the Association’s networking events, luncheons, and special functions. This includes selecting speakers, coordinating event logistics, and creating opportunities for members to connect outside of their daily business. By fostering a sense of community, this committee strengthens relationships among members and makes the Association a more engaging and enjoyable organization to belong to.

The purpose of the Risk Reduction Committee is to identify and reduce potential risks that may affect members and the organization. Determine areas of risk through proactive review of industry practices, member activities, and legal obligations. Implement new forms and contracts, and regularly update existing documents, with the goal of minimizing liability and protecting members. Monitor emerging trends, legal developments, and industry shifts to ensure the organization remains informed and prepared for necessary changes. Stay proactive in the implementation of laws, rules, and regulations that may expose members to risk or liability, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation strategies are in place.

The Technology Committee evaluates and recommends tools, systems, and innovations that can enhance both member services and Association operations. Any motion or proposal involving the use, purchase, implementation, or modification of technology shall be referred to the Technology Committee for review and recommendation. The Technology Committee shall return its recommendation to the originating committee for consideration. The originating committee shall then determine whether to forward the proposal, along with the Technology Committee’s recommendation, to the Board of Directors for final consideration. By helping the Association and its members stay current with technological trends, this committee ensures that REALTORS® remain competitive in a fast-changing business environment.

The YPN Committee is a member driven organization that helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to become involved in four core areas:

a. REALTOR® Associations Attend REALTOR® local association events, conferences and pursue leadership roles with their local, state, and national associations.

b. Real Estate Industry Take an active role in policy discussions and advocacy issues; be informed about the latest industry news and trends.

c. Peers Network and learn from one another by attending events, participating in online communication, and seeking out mentoring opportunities.
